Early Mobile Apps

In the mid 2000s, before smartphones, I shipped a dozen mobile apps and games with multiple studios and publishers.

From 2003 to 2006 I built the following mobile apps and games in C and Java on the Brew and J2ME frameworks for a generation of cell phones before smartphones:

  • Prize 21 — I integrated the Atlas Mobile tournament backend to a casino style card game.
  • Tournament Tetris — I integrated the Atlas Mobile tournament backend to Tetris.
  • Charlies Angels — I ported a Charlies Angels sidescroller game to multiple devices for FingerTwitch and MForma.
  • Joker’s Wild — I ported the Joker’s Wild trivia game to multiple devices for FingerTwitch and MForma.
  • Driv3r — I created an original car racing and combat game with Glu for the Atari Driver franchise.
  • Driver Vegas — I created a sequel in the Driver franchise adding new driving gameplay and out of car combat.
  • Fox Fantasy Football — I created a Fox Sports licensed multiplayer Fantasy Football game with Glu.
  • Daily Puzzle — I contributed to the Scott Kim licensed Daily Puzzle game with Glu.
  • Mr & Mrs Smith — I built a spy game on a Mr & Mrs Smith movie license with Glu.
  • Hoyle 6 in 1 Solitaire — I built a game to play six types of solitaire on a Hoyle license with Glu.
  • Sprint Coupon App — I built a coupon app for preload on Sprint phones with Sennari.
  • ShoutOUT — On contract to Promptu Systems, I rescued a mobile version of their flagship speech-to-text app that fell behind schedule and was riddled with bugs.
